I'm liking this a lot. The compass is awesome. The speed seems to need a few seconds to get accurate, but does get there. Super easy to install and ready to use. Very happy!
I have an original condition 1930 Chevy Coupe. The speedometer cable broke, and I couldn't locate a replacement. So I installed this on the dash. I use a 12-volt lantern battery to power it as my Chevy has a 6-volt system. So now when I'm traveling through a 25 mph speed zone, I can avoid getting a speeding ticket. Anything above a 25 mph speed limit, I'm okay without a speedometer.
First day of use and I’m completely surprised with it. It’s accurate to within 1 mph or less at all times when compared against my car speedo. On acceleration, the lag is negligible by a second or so. Completely reasonable operations. I’ve tested it up to 70 mph. I’m really happy with it so far.
This device solved a problem for me with my old pickup truck. The speedometer reads 15 mph faster than reality. The HUD display was an economical fix. It is easy to see my vehicle speed. It also provides compass directions, a significant benefit to me.
