This electric knife sharpener works much better than the old Chef's Choice one I've been using for years. It plugs in and the cord is long enough for me to use it at a convenient place on my counter. It also has little suction feet to keep the sharpener in place while using it.
My husband is a retired professional chef, and honestly, I was surprised he wanted this, as he always uses his honing stone and steel. But he wanted something to get knives sharpened quickly. He is constantly asked to sharpen others' knife sets, so he thought this could help, plus we can recommend it to amateur cooks if it does a good job.
It does the job and does it well. Can't go wrong with this one.
