These are easy to use and effective. I attached them around the top of our trampoline with cable ties to keep birds from perching on it and making a mess. I also attached some with screws to our chicken coop for the same reason.

It has been a week now and no nests. I am very pleased so far. Plastic bird spikes are easy to install, can be cut to shorten for smaller areas. There are holes for securing the strips with either nails or screws. We used thumb tacks to put them up.
